The base is a full metal frame with caster wheels so the bed can be easily moved from one location to another. The casters lock in place so there is no risk to the user when getting in and out of bed. The frame is also designed with best practices in mind; such as eliminating injury and pinch points. The recessed headspring and foot assembly are specifically designed to reduce the risk of pinching injury. The support area is made to allow the mattress to sit flush to prevent pinching or entrapment risk. This tight design greatly minimizes the risk of the user or caretaker getting a body part pinched or entrapped.

The remote included allows the user or caretaker to adjust the position of the patients back and knee angle. The full-electric design also allows for the user to adjust the height of the bed by the push of a button. The whole system is powered by a standard outlet but it also includes a battery back-up which moves the bed in case of power failure. The motor is designed to be removed quickly for simple set-up and take-down of the bed. The remote is made with bigger buttons and control descriptions making its use intuitive and simple.
